Green Beans with Creamy Garlic

  1. Trim ends from beans.
  2. In large kettle, bring 2 quarts of water to a boil. Add green beans and bring water back to boiling. Cook beans, uncovered, until crisp-tender (4-5 minutes). The beans should be a brilliant green color.
  3. Heat butter in sauté pan. Add garlic and onions and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer for 7 minutes to reduce cream slightly.
  4. Toss green beans with sauce before serving. Sprinkle with toasted sliced almond.
